OCTOBER 29, 2012

We are closely monitoring the news and announcements from the state regarding weather and road closures.  We will follow the direction of the Governor to determine our direction for Tuesday, 10/30.  If the Governor directs all non-essential state employees to stay home tomorrow, then CHR will be closed for all non-essential staff.  If the Governor asks non-essential employees to report to work late tomorrow, then we will open at the time he designates, unless you hear otherwise on TV news postings or from an email from senior management. If we do open, please check with your specific site to see if that location has power.  You’ll know if your site has power by calling that site to see if the phone system is working.  If the site isn’t operational, please communicate with your supervisor to determine an alterative site for which to report.

The senior management team will continue to be in close communication and we will continue to update you as we have more information.  Our primary concern is your safety and the safety of our clients.  Clients may call the Assessment Center (1.877.88HELP1) as usual in cases of emergency.  They will be connected to help via the Institute of Living if our staff are unavailable. Go to www.ct.gov for details on shelters and other services.

Please be careful.
