National Honor Follows Recent Awards by Newsweek and 12 Years as a Top Workplace in CT

For the fifth year in a row, nonprofit behavioral healthcare provider, Community Health Resources (CHR), was honored with the prestigious USA TODAY Top Workplaces Award. This follows two recent awards from Newsweek, celebrating CHR’s culture and empowering environment for women, and 12 consecutive years among the Top Workplaces in CT.

“We work hard to maintain an environment that fosters professional growth and empowerment for all employees, so this recognition is especially meaningful,” said Heather Gates, CHR’s President and CEO.  “Above all, these awards speak to the commitment and compassion of CHR’s workforce and their unwavering commitment to help people of all ages find hope and recovery,” she added.

According to USA Today, CHR is among an elite group of 408 organizations across the country with 500 to 999 employees, who were recognized this year. The winners are determined by authentic employee feedback captured through a confidential survey conducted by Energage, the HR research and technology company behind the Top Workplaces program since 2006. The results are calculated based on employee responses to statements about Workplace Experience Themes, which are proven indicators of high performance.

“Earning a USA TODAY Top Workplaces award is a testament to an organization’s credibility and commitment to a people-first culture,” said Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage. “This award, driven by real employee feedback, is more than just a recognition card. It’s proof that your employees believe in the organization and its leadership. Job seekers and customers look for this trusted badge of credibility and excellence. It signals a company that values its people, and that kind of culture resonates in today’s competitive market.”

About CHR: CHR is Connecticut’s most comprehensive, nonprofit behavioral healthcare agency and was the first nonprofit agency in CT to meet all of the rigorous federal criteria as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic. CHR is licensed by the state and accredited by The Joint Commission and the National Commission of Correctional Health Care.
