This week, CHR participated in the Nonprofit Rally & Lobby Day hosted by The Alliance: The Voice of Community Nonprofits at the Connecticut State Capitol in Hartford to advocate for meaningful funding increases for community nonprofits in the final state budget, as well as increasing Medicaid reimbursements for outpatient behavioral health. As the most comprehensive, non-profit behavioral healthcare provider in Connecticut, CHR offers a wide range of personalized services for children, families, and adults whose lives have been touched by mental illness, addiction, or trauma. The need for increased nonprofit funding and increasing Medicaid reimbursements is critical for organizations like CHR, which are facing a higher demand for mental health services.
