CHR, one of the region’s leading providers of substance use treatment is proud to be a sponsor of a free program this spring that will take an honest and inspiring look at women and addiction. The program will be held on Thursday, April 6, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., at the New Britain Museum of Art in New Britain.

Presented by the acclaimed news organization, the Connecticut Health Investigative Team, the forum will bring together a panel of leading experts to discuss the reasons for the growing opioid epidemic among women, as well as efforts underway to prevent, identify and treat a range of addictions. Joining the panel is CHR’s Peer Coordinator and Recovery Support Specialist, Annette Diaz, who will share a first-person story of her journey from addiction to recovery and peer support.
