CHR is proud to support Achilles International, a non-profit organization designed to help people with all types of disabilities, including behavioral health, medical and developmental conditions, to participate in running events in order to promote personal growth. The Connecticut Chapter of Achilles International will have a table at CHR’s 1 in 5, on Saturday, May 20. This is a great opportunity for CHR staff and clients to learn more about how we can work together to pursue our shared goals of lasting health and recovery.

“We are excited to partner with CHR for the event,” said Erin Spaulding, Chapter President. “Like CHR, we strive to raise awareness of how through physical activity, barriers can be lowered, and goals can be set and accomplished through a community of support.”

“While our programs focus on running, the truth is, running is simply the tool for accomplishing our main objective: to bring hope, inspiration and the joys of running to all,” Spaulding added.

You can learn more about Achilles and how this group may be a good fit for your clients by visiting their table at CHR’s 1 in 5 on Saturday, May 20. You can also contact them directly at: membership@achillesct.org.
