Teens Using Drugs and Alcohol

We have seen an increase in teens using drugs and alcohol, especially in the last two years. With the pandemic, virtual learning, and lockdowns, teens feel stressed and turn to unhealthy means to cope. It can be difficult for the parents and guardians to talk with their teens about their addiction. Often they feel there is nowhere to turn. That is where CHR comes in.
We are a behavioral health care provider across Connecticut, with our largest outpatient offices in Manchester and Enfield. We help adults, children, and families through challenges that life faces, whether substance abuse, housing, child welfare, mental illness, trauma, addiction, and more. CHR is proud to provide quality programs with results that work.
Teens using drugs and alcohol can also find it hard to talk about their addiction. Often they are worried about getting into trouble once they speak up about using. CHR wants to change that. We want to help teens feel safe about coming forward and seeking help for their addictions. CHR offers a six-month program for teens aged 12-18. We discuss the impacts of addiction and how we change these negative habits into positive ones.
Teens using drugs and alcohol need support, skills, and motivation to help them through these difficult times. For more information on the programs offered by CHR, visit the website at www.chrhealth.org or call our Triage center at 1-877-884-3572.
