For youth struggling with drugs and alcohol, the East Hartford, Connecticut substance abuse treatment center for teens is here to help.

We know that being a teenager is tough, and that’s why some teens turn to substance use. That’s why we offer a six-month program designed to help teens, between the ages of 12- 18 replace alcohol or drug use with positive social activities and behaviors. We first start by helping teens understand how substance use negatively impacts their lives, then work with them to set goals, learn new skills and make positive choices that will impact the rest of their lives and the communities they live in.

The treatment starts with a comprehensive assessment, followed by 10-12 individual sessions over 3 months. The second phase of treatment (3 months) reinforces skills learned by practicing them in the real world. This phase adds case management, home visits, and support in the community. Parent and family sessions are part of the treatment.

Teens who use drugs and alcohol need support, skills, motivation, and opportunities to make better choices. We provide them with large support systems, opportunities to help them gain control of their life again. The choices they’ve made as young people don’t need to define them forever.
