Milestone Intensive Residential Treatment Program

This program provides highly structured and rigorous residential treatment for people who are chemically dependent in the early stages of recovery and people with co-occurring  mental health issues.  Length of stay is based on individual treatment needs, but generally does not exceed 30 days.

A client-centered therapeutic atmosphere and an interdisciplinary team approach are central features of the program. The treatment team is composed of counselors, therapists, clinical supervisors, a consulting psychiatrist, nursing support, a medical director, and support staff.

Services provided include:

  • Individualized treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health issues
  • Trauma and gender informed care
  • An admission physical, Sick call and referral to medical services for significant illness
  • Referral for psychiatric evaluation (based on clinical need)
  • A structured treatment schedule which includes:
    • Individual and group counseling
    • Family education
    • Group psycho-education
    • Peer support groups
  • Urinalysis/Breathalyzer testing (at admission, discharge, and randomly during treatment)
  • TB testing for clients without a recent PPD
  •  HIV/Hepatitis C testing is available upon request
  • Continuation of medication assisted treatment from community providers
  • Aftercare planning for both individual substance abuse and mental health treatment needs

roots to recovery: a holistic approach to substance use treatment

Roots to Recovery: A Holistic Approach to Substance Use Treatment (R2R) is an intermediate, 24/7 residential treatment for men in need of a structured environment to continue building upon their recovery skills. With 14 beds, and a variable length of stay from 90 to 180 days, R2R provides a broad range of trauma-informed programs and services, including aftercare planning and referrals. As part of the CHR behavioral healthcare system, clients have access to a broad range of recovery-oriented services.

INDIVIDUALIZED CARE PLANS:
Personalized care plans are developed at orientation, intake and assessment and adjusted, as needed.

Structured daily treatment schedules may include:
• Individualized counseling
• Group therapy
• Psychiatric assessment and consultation

ADMISSION PROCEDURE:
R2R can be reached during regular business hours to schedule a phone screening; clients are admitted seven days a week. We accept all insurance including Medicaid.

New Life Center

This program provides structured and rigorous residential treatment for pregnant and/or parenting women who are chemically dependent in the early stages of recovery and women with co-occurring mental health issues.  Length of stay is based on individual treatment needs, but generally does not exceed 6 months. Children aged newborn to 4 years old will be considered to reside with their mother in the program.

A client-centered therapeutic atmosphere and an interdisciplinary team approach are central features of the program. The treatment team is composed of counselors, therapists, clinical supervisors, a consulting psychiatrist, nursing support, a medical director, and support staff.

Services provided include:

  • Individualized treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health issues
  • Trauma and gender informed care
  • An admission physical, Sick call and referral to medical services for significant illness
  • Referral for psychiatric evaluation (based on clinical need)
  • Parenting skill building in individual and group formats
  • A structured treatment schedule which includes:
    • Individual and group counseling
    • Family education
    • Group psycho-education
    • Peer support groups
    • Life skills
    • Recreational activities
  • Urinalysis/Breathalyzer testing (at admission, discharge, and randomly during treatment)
  • TB testing for clients without a recent PPD
  •  HIV/Hepatitis C testing is available upon request
  • Continuation of medication assisted treatment from community providers
  • Referrals for parenting support , which may include Birth to Three and/or Early Headstart
  • Aftercare planning for individual substance abuse treatment, mental health treatment, and parenting support.
