Community Health Resources (CHR) is a growing, non-profit, community-based behavioral health agency providing services in Central and Northeastern Connecticut. We’re committed to providing hope to children, adults and families who struggle with mental health and substance abuse issues. CPAS has a long history of meeting the needs of chemically dependent, substance-abusing and at-risk populations. The combined organization provides individuals and families with an expanded continuum of services.
ACCOUNTABLE AND RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING RESULTS:
•Operational oversight of multiple programs
◦Monitors and ensures effective process for program admission, care planning and discharge
◦Participates in strategic planning and program development activities
◦Responsible, with the Division Director, for program implementation
◦Monitors and evaluates job performance of staff
◦Conducts staff meetings as indicated to insure that program communications are effective and program operations are carried out smoothly.
◦Provides coordination with other agency and/or community programs and services in order to assure that client care is appropriate, complementary and continuous.
◦Ensures staff documentation of services delivered to clients, required collection of data, and production of statistical reports to demonstrate optimum use of programmatic resources.
◦Intervenes in crisis situations or supervises staff in doing s; coordinates transition to necessary agency and/or community services.
◦After hour beeper coverage, including weekends and holidays.
•Administrative Management
◦Assists in budget preparation and monitors costs and allocation of resources for applicable programs in accordance with agency and client needs.
◦Assumes responsibilities for development and administration of program standards and procedures related to the operation and provision of services.
◦Assures compliance with applicable contractual, licensing and accreditation requirements
◦Assigns caseloads, program duties, and determines scheduling of staff and program activities
◦Manages use and maintenance of the agency vehicle assigned to programs as indicated.
◦Monitors facility maintenance and security as indicated.
•Quality Management
◦Engages in quality improvement processes in order to ensure that services delivered through applicable programs are of the highest possible quality and professional standard.
◦Ensures that new staffs are provided with program orientation and periodic in-service training.
•Additional Duties and Responsibilities
◦Participates in strategic planning committee work
◦Works with Human Resources in the recruitment, selection and hiring process of staff.
◦May perform other assignments and duties as needed.
◦Demonstrates competency in age related or specialty issues and developmental needs for each population served.
Minimum Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s level with experience within areas of expertise offered within the division
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Clinical and programmatic experience with the population we serve
Ability to plan and coordinate program and division activities
Ability to assist in writing grants and develop budgets for existing and new programs
Organizational skills and ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner
Ability to respond to clients, families, community members, and providers in a positive and timely manner
Ability to complete documentation requirements and ensure the staff does also
Ability to develop and adhere to program/agency procedures and ensure the staff does also
Excellent verbal and excellent writing skills
Ability to function independently and monitor progress of programs in meeting organizational goals
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
Within clinical areas, must hold a valid CT licensure or certification at the Master’s level i.e. LMFT, LCSW, LPC
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
5-10 years of relevant experience, including experience with the population to be served within the service area and progressive management experience
