Nurturing Families

The Nurturing Families Network is a no-cost, voluntary program that provides information, guidance and assistance to first-time parents. Available through Community Health Resources and Johnson Memorial Hospital, the network offers three distinct, yet interwoven services:

Home visiting services that help new parents at risk for abuse and/or neglect learn how to care for their baby and adjust to the many demands of becoming a parent.

Parenting groups that bring parents together in a supportive environment to share experiences and work together to be the best parents they can be. Topics such as birth through 5, teen parenting and prenatal care are among the subjects typically discussed.

Nurturing connections that bring new parents together with volunteers and others in the community who can lend assistance.
