Safe Home
Safe Home is a short-term residential and assessment program for children between the ages of three and twelve who have been removed from their homes by the Department of Children and Families due to abuse and neglect. Children under the age of 3 years may be admitted to the program if they have a sibling placed in the home. A multi-disciplinary team conducts assessment and evaluation to make recommendations to the Department of Children and Families regarding future placement. Twenty-four hours per day/seven days per week on site staffing is provided for up to eight children. This program is offered through North Central Counseling Services. Children are referred to this program through the Department of Children & Families.
