Save the Date for CHR Golf Tournament, May 24, Featuring Special Guest K.C. Jones

 

ENFIELD/BLOOMFIELD (March 8, 2010) – Spring is in the air, and with it comes the excitement of another Community Health Resources (CHR) Benefit Golf Tournament. This highly anticipated event will take place on Monday, May 24, 2010, at Wintonbury Hills Golf Course in Bloomfield, CT. Funds raised will benefit CHR’s mental health and addiction treatment programs to help people lead healthier, happier lives.
 
Registration for the Tournament will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by lunch at
11:30 a.m., and a shot-gun start at 12:30 p.m. The cost to participate is $150 per golfer, including 18 holes of golf with carts, an open practice range, exclusive raffle prizes, a putting contest, an exciting hole-in-one contest sponsored by Carter Chevrolet/Mazda of Manchester, dinner following the tournament, and more. Those who do not wish to golf but would like to join in the festivities are welcome to attend the dinner at a cost of $35 per person.
 
Among those participating in the Tournament will be K.C. Jones, the legendary basketball star who played for the Boston Celtics from 1958 to 1967. During this time, the Celtics won eight NBA championships. Jones then went on to become a highly successful coach for several teams, including the Capital Bullets, Seattle SuperSonics and Celtics. He was elected into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1989.
